Terms & Conditions

Anyone using our services must accept the conditions outlined in this document. No exceptions, safety is our priority.

Learner drivers must produce valid learners permit or an overseas licence upon commencement of your driving lesson. Failure to do so will result in cancellation or postponement of your appointment. Your instructor has the right to decline to provide the service and 50% payment required.
We reserve the right to discontinue a driving lesson if a learner objects the use of our dual controls. This type of behaviour will NOT be accepted. We are experts in driver education field, and we only do what is necessary to avoid a potentially dangerous situation. We also reserve the right to decline to teach anyone who acts in a disrespectful manner towards other road users or our instructors. Including but not limited to multiple short notice cancellations, intention to drive intoxicated, purposely refusing to follow instructions, etc. In the event of discontinuation, the full fee will be charged.
If a learner claims that they left their belongings, including but not limited to learner’s permit card, logbook, mobile phone etc. We will thoroughly check a vehicle and if found, it will be returned at our earliest convenience. Please be advised that we don’t take responsibility for such items. However, after the end of each lesson with us, we will remind you to take all your items.
We may use digital dash-cam or voice recorder occasionally, mainly for training and coaching purposes.
We can provide invoices and all times, dates, type of service if needed. All pre-paid lessons including gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase/funds transfer, and lessons must be completed within the 6-month period. Unless a genuine reason is provided.
All pre-paid services after 6 months will be deemed expired. Extensions on gift vouchers can be granted upon request.

It’s in the best interest of yours to strictly adhere to our service policies and procedures. We welcome your suggestions if they can benefit our learner drivers, the efficiency of driver education and overall results.

Cancellation Policies

We bring to your attention that we have a cancellation and no-show policy which includes a cancellation fee. In summary the cancellation policy is as follows:

Rescheduling driving lessons

We don’t charge fees if we receive the notice at least 24 hours prior to your lesson and will reschedule the lesson.

If you reschedule a Lesson with less than 24 hours advance notice of the scheduled time, we reserve the right to consider the Lesson cancelled and charge as set out below.

Cancelling a driving lesson

If you cancel the Lesson with less than 24 hours’ notice, the Lesson Cost will be credited as follows:

Period of notice prior the scheduled lesson Amount credited

12 hours or less No Credit

More than 12 hours but less than 24 hours 50% of the Lesson Cost

Lateness and non-attendance (No-shows)

If you arrive late for a Lesson the Instructor shall only be able to offer you the remaining Lesson time if they have a commitment to another Lesson immediately after, and you will be charged for the full Lesson Cost for the Lesson.

If you are more than 10 minutes late for a Lesson without notifying us, we reserve the right (at the Instructor’s reasonable discretion) to cancel the Lesson and charge the full Lesson Cost.

If you do not attend a Lesson (No Show) we reserve the right to cancel the Lesson (at the instructor’s reasonable discretion) and charge the full Lesson Cost for the Lesson.

Privacy Policy

Proactive Driving School complies with the Commonwealth Privacy and Information Act 1988 that makes provision for the protection of an individual’s privacy. It acknowledges the right of persons not to be subjected to arbitrary or unlawful access to their personal information, family, home, or correspondence. Students are protected by this legislation and Proactive Driving School ensures due diligence when collecting, recording, and storing information. Information will not be released to a third party without the written consent of the student.
